What is a long term care insurance policy assessment?

Regardless of when you purchased a long term care insurance (LTCI) policy, understanding what is included in your coverage is critical to ensuring the proper care is available to you or your loved one. This is why we are happy to offer a free LTCI policy assessment to verify benefits and help plan for future care needs.

THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

The first step is getting to know you, your current care needs, and goals for the future. Once you submit a request for an assessment, our team will contact you within 24 hours to begin gathering needed information and to set up an initial call.

(Your privacy is important to us, and the entire assessment process falls under our strict code of confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA.)

We often work with the following insurance companies:

  • Bankers Conseco/Bankers Life & Casualty

  • Brighthouse

  • CNA

  • Genworth

  • John Hancock

  • MetLife

  • UNUM

  • Allianz

  • American General

  • CalPERS

  • Federal Long Term Care Insurance

  • MedAmerica

  • New York Life

  • PennTreaty

  • Prudential

  • RiverSource

  • SHIP

  • Southern Farm Bureau

  • Transamerica

COORDINATING CARE

Once we get to know you and your needs, we then act as your advocate with your insurance company. We will contact them on your behalf and walk through your policy to ensure we fully understand the coverage you or your loved one is entitled to. Depending on how responsive your insurance carrier is, the entire process typically takes 3 to 5 business days.

Once we have verified the policy coverage, we will contact you to set up a call to review your coverage and answer any questions you may have. There is no charge for this service. It is our pleasure to offer this service to clients.
