HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

We meet in high school, we were 15 years old – Spanish class.

What does HOME mean to you?

We've made this home exactly what we're happy with, and the idea of leaving it is heartbreaking. I don't want to see any other home than the one I'm in right now. 

What do you want to preserve the most?

I want to be able to get up every morning, stand up on my own two feet, start walking, not needing assistance to do it. This is our home, this is where we're staying, and we're never going to the "other" home.  

What MAKES A GREAT NURSE?

We have a nurse – Bonnie – and fortunately our visits from Bonnie are relatively short. Bonnie's part of our family at this point. The important thing is building a personal relationship that you feel confident in. Our concierge doctor has never been to our house, and if I called him and asked him to come over, he'd probably laugh. I feel as though we can reach Bonnie at any time for assistance and explanation, whereas getting through to a doctor is not as easy. I would have thought of having a nurse as a luxury, but now it's a necessity.
